The weather has cleared up here in Vancouver, no more sight of snow – although I don’t know about you but I kind of miss it! This weekend is Family Day weekend here and I hope everyone has a chance to spend some time with their family this weekend.
Today I’ll be reviewing more of the teas I had purchased from DavidsTea over the holidays.
Comment below and let me know which one you’ve tried!
1. Tea: Apple Cider
Review: I thought this tea would have tasted exactly like it says like apple cider but I was disappointed. It didn’t have much flavour even and if I steeped it too much then it would taste very sweet. Definitely was not a fan of this cider.
Tea stars: 2/5
2. Tea: Chocolate Covered Almonds
Ingredients: Cocoa nibs, roasted carob, black tea, almonds, yerba mate, sugar, natural and artificial chocolate and cream-almond flavourings
Smells like: Exactly as it is – chocolate covered almonds
Review: I’m not too much of a chocolate fan but this tea had a great blend between chocolate and almonds. It has sweet taste but is the perfect pair with a non-chocolate dessert.
Tea stars: 3.5/5
Ingredients: Black tea, candied fruit, natural and artificial flavouring.
Smells like: Coffee!
Review: A coffee tea? Sounds a little weird doesn’t it!? But I was impressed with this one, it has a light coffee flavour and is not too sweet either. Great to pair this tea with banana bread or a scone.
Tea stars: 3/5
Ingredients: Oolong tea, roasted chicory root, pineapple, payaya, cinnamon, walnuts, ginger, apple, rose pepper, roasted almonds, cardamom, almonds, pistachios, cranberries, rose blossoms, natural and artificial flavourings.
Smells like: A spiced cake
Review: I really like this tea because of all the spices. It’s a warming and cozy tea. Not very sweet either. I didn’t steep this one for too long because it becomes bitter.
Tea stars: 4/5
